The father of a Marine from Arlington who was killed in what is now thought to be a case of “friendly fire” in Afghanistan says he forgives the person who was operating the drone aircraft that fired the missile.
Staff Sgt. Jeremy Smith was killed last week. His father, Jerry Smith, told me on KRLD that he would “embrace” the person who was at the joystick running that drone because “they’ll have to live with that the rest of their life.”
