There’s been a lot of buzz over the weekend that the upcoming presidential trip to Texas may be a bit of a message from the POTUS to his potential challenger next year: Gov. Perry.
That’s funny because that very idea came up when I talked with Politico’s Dave Levinthal Friday afternoon. Dave said there may be a little bit of “symbolism” in this, but the bottom line is the president is coming to Dallas on Oct. 4 because it’s part of his plan to raise as much as $1 billion for his re-election campaign.
