Senator: Restricting Abortion “Has to be Personal.” AUDIO

Sen. Dan Patrick, R-Houston, and Rep. Sid Miller, R-Stephenville, lead an all-male celebration of restrictions for women's health care.

Some of the toughest restrictions on abortions are contained in a so-called “sonogram bill” that’s now on the desk of Governor Perry for his signature.  After some heated back and forth, the Texas House and Senate came together on a compromise that makes some exceptions for rape and incest.

Interesting to note that in the photo you see to the right that the celebration of the bill’s passage, all of the people slapping each other on the back are men.  I did make note of that on twitter and it was re-tweeted for about 48 hours.

Today, State Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Fort Worth, joined Mitch Carr and me on the radio and said there’s no way for this fight to not be personal.  Listen:
